This gold-bearing, albite-rich outcrop is 225 m away from the Reed showing, also a gold-bearing, albite rich outcrop. It is also the site of our initial drill program, attempting to join the two gold zones. Currently a swamp separates them, possibly due to albite weathering recessively. At this site you can see a darker carbonate above the white rope, and a lighter albite below it.

The SB-01 zone consists of green carbonate which grades 0.46 gAu/Tonne, and a higher grade, pyritic-albite silicification. Assays are available on inquiry.

The green carbonate has a thick, dark brown weathering rind with relict streaks and patches of green fuchsite mica. The higher grade, gold-bearing albitic quartz-flooded unit weathered pale grey. 

This cut sample's field of view is approximately 5x6 cm. The albitic silicification is micro-fractured, while the pyrite shows high variability, ranging form extremely fine grains to 1 mm crystals. Fine grained pyrite associated with albite alteration is considered a favourable host for gold mineralization.

This drill core is from hole SB-01 and it is typical of the program so far. Note the albite alteration found throughout. This mineralization has remained consistent throughout the drilling, and the assays have improved with depth.
